.460 Rowland Reactive Targets

100% LEGAL “460 ROWLAND REACTIVE TARGETS” are a  two part, binary compound designed for use as reactive targets. It is extremely stable, both before and after mixing.

Before use, the product must be thoroughly mixed with the provided catalyst (dark gray powder). Once the two parts are combined the resulting compound can be roughly divided between the two enclosed baggies for two very satisfying reactions, or it may be left in a single bag to be detonated in one REALLY BIG BANG ! ! !   Detonation of the target compound requires impact from a bullet travelling in excess of  2,200 feet per second and should be done from a safe distance of about 75 yds.

Important Note: once the product is mixed it must be used immediately on-site without transport, in order to comply with BATF regulations governing transport and storage of explosives (27 C.F.R., Section 555, Subpart ‘K’). The law must be strictly obeyed. Fines and criminal penalties are sever and prosecution is certain.

Prior to mixing, the “.460 Rowland Reactive Target” compound can be safely stored at room temperature in a dry place.  It is neither combustible or inflammable and perfectly safe to store or transport. Moisture must not be allowed to contaminate the product since it will either deactivate the chemical compound or reduce its performance in later use.

Once the two parts are mixed, the seller cannot be held responsible for your actions or consequences.

  • Any use of this product must be under competent adult supervision. Keep out of reach of children.
  • You should not use this product on any property without the prior express consent of the property owner.
  • The exploding targets create very loud noise, so be respectful of others within sound travel range, and use hearing protection as appropriate.
  • It is mandatory that the target is situated such that fired bullets are safely captured by a reliable backstop (large earthen berm, etc).
  • Minimum recommended shooting distance is 75 yards.
  • For maximum safety, it is best to either suspend the target compound above clear ground or atop a wooden stake to avoid excessive interaction with ground debris.
  • Avoid target placement within, beside or beneath objects that could produce hazardous fragmentation projectiles.
  • This is a recreational product and not intended to be weaponized. Any known attempt to do so will be immediately reported to local authorities and the BATF. Prosecution is certain and penalties are severe.
