I got my .460 conversion for my Glock 21 last week and finally had a chance to shoot it today.

Along with the conversion I ordered a lot of your ammo and got the Rowlanator and shims to go with the conversion…… Took my buddy with me to the range and boy did we have fun.

Not only did we have tremendous fun, but we were also able to shot this sledge hammer with ease and accuracy. Truly a great caliber.

There were 8 other range personnel whom had to view and witness such a fine gun. Orders should be coming this week from my great hometown…..

I own this kit. The kit was easy to do. On top the round has some massive power.

I shot at 25 feet and hit the target in the same spot each time.

The round is powerful and is something that you don’t see in a normal gun or round! I have shot some big caliber guns before but this is something to have. I enjoyed it a lot.

The best part you can change the guide rod back to a stock glock 21 guide rod and be able to shoot standard 45 acp rounds through it.

Hey guys, when I was thinking about getting one of these conversions I was looking to see what other guys had to say about it. Well not much here. So let me tell you what I think.

I took it to the indoor range and the first time I pulled the trigger I giggled the second round I had an audience. I’m telling you straight up it is a true hand cannon.

I had got lucky and the guys at Rowland were able to hold my order and send some of the 240gr magnum rounds with the conversion. They have a hard time keeping them in stock. They have this huge fireball that comes out with a huge kick.

Sooo cool…. I have the Glock 21 full size. 45 and even shooting the +P rounds the Rowland as twice the the bang.

Lol that’s the s**t I paid for, so if you are considering one of these and are not sure about it I will say it far exceeded my expectations.

I did get the upgraded mag Springs and didn’t have any malfunction. I only shot 50rds, but that’s all I needed from this beast. You should get one so you can rattle your range it’s so funny when everyone is asking wtf is that guy shooting down there.

Hello, Just wanted to say how satisfied I am with the 460 Roland kit I installed on my Glock.

The installation was very easy,and the instructions were clear,and precise,as you know I also ordered the heavier springs for my magazines,and after watching a youtube video I installed the springs,plus I also installed the shims to the sides of my .460 Rowland® magazines.

Once the lock tight has completely setup I will be off to the range,and will give an update as to the performance of this entire .460 Rowland® modification….Thank you for your help,and advise,and the fast shipping…C.J.

I was hunting about 3 weeks ago here in Montana and took a 150 lb black bear with a 460 Rowland.

Sorry my Glock 21 conversion is not in the picture. I love the set up, its almost a lb lighter than the 44 mags I have, and I got double the capacity.

It is also very accurate for a pistol. I think I am going to build a second G21 460 Rowland here soon.

I converted a Glock 21 about a year ago and liked it so much I wanted to convert another.

I ended up going a different route and went with a Kimber 1911.

Its a sweet shooter. I have another Glock 21 sitting in the safe waiting to be converted, and have 500 new casings waiting to be loaded.

Its a shame that more people don’t catch on. It is a reloader’s dream and the published ballistic numbers don’t lie. I load 230gr Hornady XTPs to 1330 fps, which is touching 44 mag territory. The Glock 21 holds 14 rounds, the Kimber 9, and a 44 mag six.

The G21 is about a lb lighter than a typical 44 mag.

This weekend was my first opportunity to shoot my Glock converted to the .460 Rowland®.

I started out with the Glock 20 so I had to buy a Glock 21 slide to work with your kit.

All I can say, is this is amazing. I found the recoil of the .460 Rowland® to be more agreeable than the 10 mm.

I’ve learned that some of this aftermarket stuff is junk but not yours.

I was looking for a handgun for backup to my 45-70 rifle for close range while hunting brushy east texas woods, but really didn’t want a revolver.

Research led me to the .460 Rowland® conversion and when I found out it worked with Glock I was sold. Retired the G19, bought a new 21 and a conversion with ported barrel…AND I LOVE THIS GUN!!!

Shoots and handles amazingly well for such a powerful round.

I have your SF-30 kit and very happy with the power of the .460 Rowland® it’s everything as advertised even more.

I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much I enjoyed my first session at the range today with the Glock 30 conversion that I purchased last week. I am in awe of how well the conversion works, and am still trying to wrap my head around how much power there is in such a small, and easy to manage package.

As far as my home state of NJ goes, we live out in the boonies. An intruder in our area is more likely to be a rouge black bear or a coyote, than it is to be someone breaking in. I can see this gun as being my new ‘go to’ as it would be completely adequate in any of these situations.
I love this cartridge, and I can’t believe how manageable it is in such a small pistol. I have been shooting for my entire adult life and have been handloading for over 25 years. I discovered wildcats shortly thereafter, got bit by the bug, and have accumulated far more than I should have by any sane standard.

All that said, I haven’t had this much fun with a new round since I had the notion to chamber an encore pistol in 50 Alaskan, and shoot 750 grain BMG bullets out of it………….(It works, by the way……)

Incidentally, I will say that the versatility and quality of the .460 Rowland® is just unbeatable. To be able to shoot three different calibers out of one barrel is wonderful, and the option of saving some funds on .45 ACP as practice ammunition will allow me to indulge in buying the “hot stuff” to feed it for special and serious occasions.

It’s certainly a head-turner at the range, and I end up with an audience every time I shoot it around other people. They’re all amazed at how manageable the .460 fires despite sounding like I’m shooting a rifle round out of that compact hand-cannon!

Just received my 460 conversion kit for a Kimber full-size 1911. Every single claim y’all making advertising is true it is exactly what it was claimed to be I will not own a 1911 that does not have this kit in it.

Shot mine (1911 Ported) for the first time yesterday. It was awesome. Started with some hand-loaded 460’s then some .45 acp. No failures to feed or fire from either.

Finally got the barrel and comp installed on my Caspian Longslide. I shot it today and am very happy with it.

I am going to bump up the load a little but it is a real cannon just like it is. 200 grain xtp hits like a hammer.

I’m just posting this to tell you guys how much I enjoy my conversion kit.

It was harder to install than I thought due to the 20 lb. dual coil spring, but that well makes up it in the accuracy and performance I now get out of my 1911.

I have a 44 mag 1911. I found .460 Rowland® I can do faster follow up shots. And I can defend my neighbors house from mine.

I really like the variety of ammo. I had a pair of Kimbers converted. I can still shoot 45’s also. I live in bear country. Camp a lot.

I love the fact that I get 44 magnum power with less perceived recoil, much less muzzle blast and faster follow up shots than the 44 magnum.

And all with a common .45 cal bullet and in an extremely accurate 1911 action.

Just received my new compensator.

You folks are absolutely the best. 2 days after the order!!! I l love your products. My wife bought me a brand new SOCOM model Kimber Warrior for the express purpose of converting it to .460 Rowland®.

I will be ordering a complete kit next pay day. I have never had so much fun as shooting my Glock 21 with the .460 installed. last year I took a big male Florida boar hog at 75 yards with the Glock braced on a truck bed at 75 yards.

Bullet went clean through destroying the heart. He was down without a grunt. My companions could not believe what they just saw. An hour before they were scolding me for daring to hunt with a Glock 21. I wish there was some way to put the .460 in a Glock 41. I have a Glock model 40 10mm and I love it but something that size in .460 Rowland would be a dream. Thanks.

Had the barrel hard fitted into my EDC Colt Custom Tactical. I have shot 200 rounds of Underwood .460 through it both 255 hard cast flat nose and 185 JHP.

Definitely gets your attention. No FTFs and great accuracy.

Thanks to everyone at .460 Rowland®. Got my kimber raptor II back. Performs flawlessly!! I got a second kit and did my kimber aegis. Wow what a difference. I was in the military over 20 years and retired. Had we had the .460 Rowland®. I’d have stayed longer. When I mentioned to Thomas about my military service.

He recommended shipping my 1911 in for the conversion since it’s stainless. I was blown away by him doing labor on upgrade free.

What an amazing weapon!!! My wife and I camp allot. I live in bear country and have them in my dumpster on occasion. I’d only shoot as a last resort. But I do know the 460 will do the job if needed. Again.

Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the help in building my new 460. Had a question or two and was given great service when I called.

First time out to the range I put 300 rounds of light powered 45 acp. No failures other than when a friend was limp wristing when he was shooting.

Light loads will tend to do that with a heavy spring installed.

I really appreciate you taking care of it for me!! I can’t express how impressed I am with the conversion.

In the 20rds I did fire I had NO FTF or FTE!! I only took 1 box of Ammo with me to range which is 45min from my house or I would have shot ALL my ammo last Friday……lol!!!

A gentleman had a Ruger Super RedHawk 44mag at range & he was kind enough to let me compare recoil to mine….. NOT even close!!!! Lol!! My 1911 shoots smooth as butter with the 460!! Ruger had 8 3/8 barrel, I STILL shot BETTER groups at 50yds with MINE!! Lol!!

I went shooting the .460 Rowland® today. I shot about 150 rounds, to include all of your three types of ammo, and everything else that I’ve loaded up.

The pistol functioned flawlessly, and it’s quite accurate to boot.

The new firing pin made a great difference, no more torn up primers. You do great work!

I caught the 1911 compensated kit on sale and wow! The kit is easy to install and the fit/finish/quality of the kit is outstanding!

I would definitely recommend and have recommended this kit to anyone that will stand still long enough to listen! And for a bonus, you retain the ability to fire 45 ACP, so it’s a “no-brainer” for me to convert any future 45 that I purchase!

I just wanted to take a minute and update you on my recently converted Ruger SR1911.

First off, I want to say what a pleasure it was to work with you all on getting what turned out to be a sort of project completed and ready to shoot (and kill bears and cougars, should the need arise).

My customer service experience was nothing short of stellar – the personal phone calls, emails, and the overall customer / provider relationship .460 Rowland® provides should be a model for all businesses in the firearm industry. That’s because of the deeply felt attachment that most gun owners have for their guns. Therefore, to trust someone with what most of us call our “babies” is a big deal – .460 Rowland® is, without question, worthy of that trust. Second, the gun itself is beautiful.

I’ll begin by saying that I put 4 full mags of “Johnny’s Personal Carry” 185 grain (35 rounds) through the gun without a failure to eject, a failure to feed, or any other loading or firing issues….There is a massive amount of power in this gun! The term “beast” more than aptly applies here, and I’m not exaggerating. The awesome thing is that all that power (all 44 magnum’s worth of power, to be precise) is handled with relative ease. In fact, for me, the gun handles better as a compensated .460 than it does as a non-compensated .45 ACP.

That’s a big deal to me since I was able to keep all shots on target with half the re-aim time. At 15 yards I let out an entire magazine in just a few seconds (as fast as I could pull the trigger) and every round hit my target-zombie’s torso – in the kill-zone! Not a tiny grouping, mind you, but very impressive, and something I couldn’t do as well with a standard 5″ .45 ACP 1911. I’m just not as good as others. Speaking of accuracy, this is nothing short of amazing. Taking more time to aim, I destroyed a small 8″ diameter balloon (I know, not that exciting, I wish it had been an exploding target) with a single shot at 55 yards.

That tells me that the gun is perfectly balanced, the ammo does it’s job of flying as perfectly and flatly as scientifically possible, and the conversion kit is machined with unsurpassed precision. My 460 feels more of an extension of my arm than anything else I own, and, again, that is no exaggeration. Breaking down the gun is easy.

Not tool-less, but easy. After shooting (I only put 35 rounds through since….I wanted to make sure I had some left to keep in the mag until I ordered more), anyway, after shooting, I broke “the she-beast” down, cleaned her with hot soapy water, lubed each part as I put her together, cycled a couple unfired mags through (not a good habit, I know) just to make sure, and, again, flawless.

I’ll end this long email by saying I have recommended .460 Rowland® to all my friends, and everyone else I talk to about guns. I will absolutely do business with you all again – I intend to build another, but this time blued instead of stainless. There’s just something exciting about the thought of having one in each finish.

You’re a great company with an incredible product, unmatched in my opinion. Thank you again for all your help. You’ll be hearing from me again soon.

I received my kit yesterday for my 1911. I greatly appreciate you sending me the kit in a timely manner, your customer service is awesome!

Your communication was great- thank you for telling me about the guide rod, and spring plug not being blued- that would have been a surprise. I assembled the kit in the gun and the fit is great, the alignment of the compensator is perfect as well.

I removed that red dot that covered the “pin and weld” and covered the hole with black high temp paint (I figured it looked better than the red dot). I gotta say this is a real sweet shooter! It cycled .45acp perfectly and dropped the brass about 3 feet away. When shooting the Mighty .460 Rowland® cartridge the gun was very accurate and the brass flew about 10+ feet away. It cycled perfectly with whatever I put into it.

I did have a few primer strikes where the primers blew threw- is the extended firing pin what I need to remedy this? I am very pleased with the results of this cartridge.

I will be purchasing ammo and a T-shirt shortly for a YouTube .460 kit, and ballistics/chrono test…..I greatly appreciate your customer service and help. I have had a good experience with this company and want everyone to know about it.

I did a conversion last night on an xd tactical. Ive seen some people putting a little extra space between the compensator and the slide. I only put a 1/2 turn of space between the two…

Just shot it. Functioned great. 13 grains of longshot and 200 grain xtp. Literal blast. Will make your heart thump shooting it. I did the paper test for the gap between comp and slide. It slides around freely. It’s amazing that this plastic xd can handle this ammo.

I have the XD Tactical and it’s the real deal. I doubled the mag springs for reliability to keep up with the stronger recoil spring speed and can only get 10 rounds in the mags.

So be it.

I haven’t had a problem with regular 45 ammo performing even though some have speculated that there may be a problem, I can’t see how and no one has produced evidence of this. I keep my mags loaded with 45 +P followed by 45 super and then the 460. This is my nightstand companion with additional mags loaded with 460.

This is one of the best inventions in the firearms industry.

Have owned my 460 XD conversation for over 4 years. Have pushed more than 2500 rounds through it. With very little noticeable wear. Great job gang on an awesome product. I have pictures too…see very little noticeable wear. Thanks for the awesome product

I have shot hundreds of different pistols over the last 30 years. from 22 to the SW500.

Oh my God, the 460 rowland is Absolutely the best. About as powerful as a 50ae but Way more comfortable and controllable to shoot. There is no doubt this is a hand Cannon! the compensator keeps muzzle rise down considerably and makes the second shot much faster and more accurate. If you like powerful weapons you can do NO better that the 460.

I shot underwood ammo(same Exact specs and cost as the ammo on this site) You are crazy not to get a conversion for yourself. be prepared to wait( took 6 weeks for mine) but wow is it worth it.

I recommend this set up 100%. Own it and love it! The .460 Rowland® conversion on the XDM 4.5 .45 platform is mind blowing with how well it shoots and the amount of power it provides!

 I originally sent a Sig 220 for the conversion , which with my Sig, an older model did not work.

They went the extra mile and more trying to make the conversion work. After all that , returned my money, no questions asked.
